Walkshop | Discovery of Safe Walking Areas

This walking workshop, held as part of the SAFELY project supported by EIT Urban Mobility, focuses on citizen participation in traffic safety analysis. Starting out from the Haliç Congress Center, participants will follow the route of Sütlüce, Halıcıoğlu, and Hasköy Park, exploring the city's safe and inclusive transportation options through different observation points at four main stops. Observations will be shared through the Mapalyse survey, accessible via QR codes at each stop, and risky areas will be marked on the map. This will both raise awareness and contribute to local governments' efforts to create safer streets.

Mapalyse is a digital tool that allows participants to enter their data by marking on the map, marking any dangerous crossings, inadequate sidewalks, or access barriers encountered along the walk.

Each participant may register for only one route.

After registration, route tickets must be acquired from the MARUF stand on MARUF days.

Participants must be present at the Haliç Congress Center with their tickets at 1:30 PM.
