Walkshop | Jane's Walk: Exploring Fikirtepe on Foot

This walking workshop, which will follow the "Just My Two Cents on my City: Through the Lens of Jane Jacobs" urban atelier, is inspired by the spirit of Jane's Walk. Drawing on Jane Jacobs's perspective of urbanism, the workshop will explore urban life in Fikirtepe, Kadıköy, and discover the city's transformation, from old neighborhoods and vacant lots to new buildings and their social impacts. Throughout the walk, the participants' observations will be applied onto a digital map via the Walkability app and made accessible to everyone.

Notes:

Each participant may only register for one route.

After registering, route tickets must be acquired from the MARUF stand on MARUF days.

Participants must be at the Haliç Congress Center with their tickets at 1:30 PM.

Registration information will be provided one week prior.

Transportation will be provided to the route's starting point. At the end of the route, participants will return by their own means.
