Event Modes
Deep Dive
We know how difficult it is to focus for a long time due to exposure to various stimuli. Therefore, in-depth and comprehensive discussions on carefully selected topics will take place in 90-minute Deep Dive sessions. In the sessions where the preliminary studies carried out during MARUF on the Go events will be used as a base, intricate issues will be examined in depth and potential solutions will be explored. Deep Dive sessions are designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of urban issues, encourage exchange of ideas among experts, policymakers and other relevant urban stakeholders, and produce a common discourse at the end of MARUF23.
Quick Takes
Instead of long and detailed explanations, we want to reach concise information and analyze more urban issues. Quick Take sessions will serve this goal by providing dynamic content that lays the foundation of various urban issues and focus on the essence of the issue in just 30 minutes. After a session full of brainstorming ideas and solutions, our networking area will be waiting for you if you want to learn more.
Hype or Not?
Hype or Not? sessions will critically examine urban trends, technologies and ideas that are produced for a better urban life to determine their actual impact and potential for sustainable urban development and provide a framework for long-term results from different perspectives. Popular or trendy concepts/tools will be discussed through effective presentations. You will be the judge of the solutions proposed at the end of 60-minute sessions.
Local in Action
In these sessions, which will focus on exhibiting successful urban projects implemented at the local level, the main objective is to emphasize the value of bottom-up approaches and collaboration between different stakeholders and to inspire participants. Local actors will lead the dissemination of inclusive, safe, sustainable, creative solutions and strategies by sharing their work that has a positive impact on a local, regional or global scale in these 45- or 60-minute sessions.

If you are curious about learning through games, making decisions together, and the food issue, mark Play Marmara on your calendar.

Networking events are designed to help organizations share knowledge and experiences, engage in interdisciplinary discussions, and develop partnerships with various stakeholders on specific issues. These events bring together representatives from different sectors working towards similar goals.
