Nature-Based Solutions for Climate-Resilient Policies

This workshop will focus on nature-based solutions (NBS) as an effective approach to enhancing urban resilience to climate change. A brief introduction to the concept of NBS will be provided; the findings of needs assessments and policy development studies conducted in seven municipalities of the Marmara Region will be shared. The “Guideline for Developing and Implementing Nature-Based Solutions for Municipalities,” designed as a practical tool for planning and implementation processes, will also be introduced. The workshop will be organized within the scope of the “Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Resilience of Communities (NBS-CORES)” project, supported by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Cross-Border Cooperation Programme.
