Urban Sketching 101

Urbansketchers Istanbul is a community that captures the memory of the city through on-site drawings. At the beginning of the workshop, members of the team will give a brief presentation, introducing the practice of Urban Sketching and its unique approach. Afterwards, in order to experience this practice first-hand, MARUF participants will join a drawing session at the Haliç Congress Center. The workshop is open to all participants who enjoy drawing, regardless of their level of experience. Note: Participants are expected to bring their own materials to this workshop. Recommended Materials - Watercolors or dry colors - Brush with water reservoir or a brush and a container for water - A notebook or paper large enough for comfortable work; materials like duralit for the back side - Pencils, colored pencils, ink pens, erasers, and other drawing tools Participants may choose from the recommended materials or bring any other materials they feel comfortable using.
