Ali Gençoğlu

Ali Gençoğlu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations, as well as a double major in Radio, TV and Cinema from Yeditepe University, İstanbul. He received his Master’s degree in Media and Cultural Studies from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, and another Master’s degree in Radio, TV and Cinema from Gazi University, Ankara. He later completed his PhD in Radio, TV and Cinema at Gazi University.

He served as the Coordinator of the Çalı Village Film Festival (Bursa), and is the Co-founder of O’film.Route. His research interests include collective memory, Turkish cinema, politics and cinema, and the sociology of cinema.
