Emre Güzel
Founding Director, Roof Coliving
Emre Güzel is the founding director of Roof Coliving and a transdisciplinary social designer.
He holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Global Citizenship from TED University, where he is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Urban Design. Emre
For over a decade, he has been working on youth rights, the right to the city, participatory democracy, and models of creative bureaucracy. Through the community-based design processes he develops, he continues to address urban challenges together with local residents, aiming to create more just, inclusive, and shared living spaces.
He has been selected as the only young urbanist from Turkey to join the cohort of young urban changemakers at Urban Future. This international platform empowers young people to participate in urban spaces, engage in local democracy, and co-shape the future of cities by connecting them with decision-makers and urban visionaries.
He is also a fellow of the Bertha Foundation in Cape Town. This global organization supports activists and storytellers advancing social justice, with a strong focus on human rights and urban justice.
