Serdar Paktin

Serdar Paktin is a cultural semiotician and strategist focused on understanding how the culture we live in shapes people's behaviors, perceptions, and decisions. He describes himself simply as a “meaning maker.

Following his education at Işıklar Military High School and the Turkish Air Force Academy, he earned a bachelor’s degree in American Culture and Literature from Dokuz Eylül University. He then received a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from The New School for Social Research in New York as a Fulbright scholar. As the founder of the London-based Pakt agency, Paktin provides cultural strategy consulting and insight generation services to help global brands shape their strategic decisions in different markets. His clients include multinational companies such as Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Netflix, and Unilever.

Since 2014, he has also been the co-founder of Temaset, an Istanbul-based sensory experience studio, where he designs unique events and experiences. With Temaset, he has collaborated with brands such as Mey/Diageo, Moët & Hennessy, Benefit, and Pepsi, producing innovative experiential formats like Tasty Cinema, Sound Blended, and Suspicious Ball, for which Temaset holds the production rights. For over 13 years, Paktin has been teaching as a lecturer at Kadir Has University, Faculty of Communication. He also writes articles on cultural analysis, branding, and communication for various magazines, newspapers, books, and publications.
