Osman Çorumlu
Coordinator for International Relations, UCLG-MEWA
He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Boğaziçi University in 2018 in Istanbul, Türkiye. Concurrently pursuing a Master’s Degree in History, he also worked as a teaching fellow for the undergraduate-level History of Modern Turkey course. Furthermore, Osman created research-based feature stories on international affairs for media outlets.
Currently, he is the International Relations Coordinator at United Cities and Local Governments Middle East and West Asia (UCLG-MEWA). Osman specializes in various areas within the global municipal movement, including city-to-city cooperation, urban resilience, municipal structures in the Middle East, and urban livability. He is the Editor-in-Chief of UCLG-MEWA’s quarterly periodical, MEWA Agora, and the content coordinator of UCLG-MEWA’s research publications. Osman leads the International Relations team to enhance UCLG-MEWA’s institutional relations and conduct capacity-building activities for local governments.
