With his fellow Geert De Pauw, Thibault Leroy is co-director of Community Land Trust Brussels, an innovative organization that aims to provide affordable housing solutions.
Community Land Trust Brussels offers low-income residents of Brussels the possibility of living in affordable, sustainable, and quality homes.
The work of Community Land Trust Brussels is not just limited to the development of housing, but also extends to community work with residents, improvement of the surrounding neighbourhood in which the CLT is active, and strengthening community life.
Thibault Leroy joined CLTB in 2013, and has helped build it into a strong and internationally recognized organization.
Community Land Trust Brussels was awarded the UN World Habitat Prize in 2021, crowning the activities of all the organization's members.
Within this team, Thibault's areas of expertise are finance, law, human relations and strategic coordination. He closely follows the development of real estate projects. He is one of Belgium's leading experts on legal issues relating to new forms of property rights.
He is active in a number of organizations, and notably in Fair Ground Brussels, a social cooperative whose aim is to develop more affordable housing, particularly for the homeless.
After studying management, law and urban planning, Thibault has devoted his career to strengthening community life in Belgium.
He has two children and lives and works in Brussels.
